I understand the juggling act, especially for parents. My schedule offers reasonable flexibility and I suggest a thoughtful 1 - 2 weeks' notice for most sessions. I'll send over a range of available slots to pick from. If your heart is set on a specific time or date, I urge you to reach out sooner rather than later – ideally 1 - 3 months before your desired day.

Keep in mind, during peak seasons like the lively spring and summer, my calendar can fill up swiftly, often around 1 - 2 months ahead of time. Planning ahead is your best bet to secure your spot during these bustling times.

Once you have chosen your package and location, I will send through your invoice and booking details.

A 50% non-refundable retainer fee is required within 48 hours of receiving your invoice to secure your chosen date and time. Due to limited availability, dates and timeslots cannot be held without payment and will remain open to other enquiries until your booking fee has been received.

Your remaining balance is due 5 days before your session date.

Once your retainer fee has been paid, your date and time are officially yours.

I do definitely travel for sessions, who doesn't like travel, right! The first 10km from Wilro Park, Roodepoort, Gauteng is free. There after I ask a normal AA rate of R5/km.

When we lock in a session, it means I've committed that time exclusively to you and have declined other potential sessions. As a result, the deposit is non-refundable, whether the session is rescheduled or canceled.

While I fully grasp that life can throw curveballs, I kindly request a minimum of 1 - 2 weeks' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If the session is canceled within 7 days ( 1 week ) of the set date, the full balance is due. This accounts for the likelihood that Michelle Steyn Photography won't be able to book that date and time for another client on such short notice.

Similarly, punctuality is crucial. To ensure a smooth process, please be on time for your session.

If you've arranged an outdoors or weather-dependent photo session, we'll be in touch to discuss rescheduling if the weather isn't conducive. Flexible booking dates allow us to smoothly move your session to the next suitable slot at no extra charge. Your satisfaction and the quality of your session are my top priorities.

Rainy days also have their own charm – we can either opt for indoor shots with a cozy, warm glow from a flash, or venture outside with delightful rain gear and colorful umbrellas for a playful twist! Please do let me know as soon as possible if it looks like your little ones are feeling under the weather. It's very tricky to get good photos if they're not happy (completely understandably!), so we'll rather just reschedule if that's the case.
